Libman, Goldstine, Kopperman & Wolf Joins Bober Markey Fedorovich

AKRON, OH – October 28 – Effective November 1, 2014, Libman, Goldstine, Kopperman & Wolf, a downtown Cleveland-based CPA firm, will merge with Bober Markey Fedorovich, one of Northeast Ohio’s largest regional accounting firms.

“The merger enhances our client service capabilities, provides further opportunities for our employees through professional development and advancement, broadens our client base and reinforces BMF’s commitment to continued growth in the Cleveland market,” said Richard C. Fedorovich, CEO and managing partner of BMF.  Fedorovich will maintain the same position with the firm after the merger.  “Both firms have been in business for more than fifty years and combine to provide a very powerful option to the marketplace with deeper resources to the firm’s combined client roster.”

Keith Libman, Alan Goldstine and Tod Wagner will join BMF as partners. The addition of LGKW represents significant growth to the BMF client base and brings to the firm a well-established Cleveland presence that will now serve as BMF’s primary Cleveland office.  Together, BMF will now employ approximately 100 professionals and staff, a 20 percent increase in size. Based on published figures of CPA employment, this will make BMF the 7th largest locally owned accounting firm headquartered in Northeast Ohio.  Further, everyone at LGKW will be joining BMF.

Keith Libman, LGKW partner, said the merger will provide significant benefits to his firm’s clients as well as employees.

“We’re excited to bring the deeper resources and broader global reach offered by BMF to our clients,” Libman said.  “We were very impressed to find the same core values and client service philosophies in our two organizations, a shared sense of priorities that will serve our clients very well long into the future.”

Fedorovich said his firm, founded in Akron in 1959, has always viewed the northeast Ohio region as a positive economic environment for the firm.

“Since we expanded into the Cleveland market several years ago, we recognized that Cuyahoga County presented our firm with a strong platform for growth,” Fedorovich explained.  “The recent economic good news coming out of Cleveland, along with our entire region, makes Cleveland an exciting and profitable place for us to increase our presence.”
