Bober Markey Fedorovich Expands Leadership in Transactions, Litigation, Valuation, and Forensics

AKRON, OH – September 29, 2015 – Bober Markey Fedorovich (BMF), a top 20 regional CPA and advisory firm, has expanded its management team in the firm’s Transactions, Litigation, Valuation, and Forensics with the addition of Bryant Petersen, MBA, ASA, CFE, and the promotion of Mindy S. Marsden, CFE.

Bryant Petersen, MBA, ASA, CFE, a manager in business valuation and litigation support services group, brings more than 14 years of experience specializing in the areas of forensic accounting, economic damage analysis, and business valuation.  Coordinating all aspects of the engagement from planning to expert witness testimony, Petersen has the formal training, expertise, and experience in both forensic, or investigative accounting, and business valuation. Petersen has primarily been engaged by attorneys and law firms to assist them and their clients with financial and accounting-oriented issues, ranging from complex damage analyses to business valuation.  He has been involved with various special projects, including analysis of an offshore Ponzi and investment scam, valuation of a business engaged in providing sub-prime financing and other non-traditional financing options for car dealerships, and evaluated and prepared rebuttal analyses evaluating economic damage claims in a matter involving real estate development, management, and option agreements, involving real estate with estimated value of over several hundred million dollars.  Petersen is a graduate of Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and maintains the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential which denotes proven expertise in forensics and fraud.

Marsden 1 Mindy S. Marsden, CFE, promoted to Manager, Transaction Advisory Services. Marsden provides financial due diligence and other consultation services to buyers and investors from private equity groups, public companies, and subordinated debt lenders, as well as sellers of privately held companies. With a background in assurance and advisory services, Marsden is also experienced and knowledgeable with the audit needs of clients in diverse industries including nonprofit, investment, manufacturing, retail and employee benefit plans. Marsden maintains the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential which denotes proven expertise in forensics and fraud. Active in various professional organizations, Marsden is a Board Member of The Nightlight and a member of ATHENA International, the Women’s Network of Northeast Ohio, and the Association of Corporate Growth Cleveland. She is also a graduate of Torchbearers Akron, Class of 2013.
