Four Promoted to New Director Roles

In addition to our new organizational leadership structure which took effect January 1, 2021, we have created a new Director role and appointed four leaders within the firm to hold these positions.

Karen Costantini, Cindy Mitchell and Tara Shulas will become Director, Tax Services; Bryant Petersen will become Director, Valuation/Litigation Support Services in BMF’s Business Valuation Advisory Services group.

Karen J. Costantini, CPA, works with BMF clients on tax planning and compliance issues related to federal, multi-state and international tax matters. Her advisory experience includes working with privately held and private equity-owned corporations on a wide variety of tax strategies, including merger and acquisition, growth planning, succession planning and individual tax estate planning considerations. With BMF since 2015, Karen is a summa cum laude graduate of Baldwin Wallace College and has played an active role in the community, which included roles with Business Volunteers Unlimited and Dress for Success.

Cindy H. Mitchell, CPA, joined Bober Markey Fedorovich in 1999. She brings 25+ years of individual tax experience to her new role and leads the firm’s high net worth client practice. She is an expert in employee benefit tax planning and tax-related benefit plan compliance matters. Cindy graduated summa cum laude from the University of Akron. She is active in the community, including serving as a board member of Make-A-Wish®, Greenleaf Family Center and Victim Assistance Program.  She is a graduate of Leadership Akron Class 31.

Tara B. Shulas, CPA, CIT, MTax, works with closely held C-Corporations, S-Corporations and nonprofits in the construction, services and manufacturing sectors. She has practiced and is certified in both Florida and Ohio and joined the firm after relocating to Northeast Ohio in 2003. Tara holds her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania and her master’s in taxation from The University of Akron. Tara carries certifications as both a CPA as well as a Construction Industry Technician (CIT).

Bryant Petersen, MBA, ASA, CFE, is a BMF leader in forensic accounting, economic damage analysis and business valuation. Bryant provides counsel as well as expert witness testimony to both his legal and business clients, with extensive experience and expertise in both domestic relations matters as well as commercial litigation. Bryant joined BMF in 2015 and holds credentials as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his master’s in Business Administration from Utah State University.

We have every confidence in their success within these new roles, which is a tangible reflection of BMF’s continued emphasis on and attention toward the future.
